THE PROJECT

Plagued with an unstable power infrastructure, the city of Piura, Peru has embarked on a mission to move to wind power. As their current infrastructure continued to age, they required a temporary source of power while transferring the city to wind. Partnering with Soenergy International and Solares Controls, I designed three identical diesel transfer units. Transferring diesel from tanker trucks to fuel tanks and from the fuel tanks to electric generators, each unit consists of 2 identical piping trains in opposing directions which include a strainer, pump, coalescer, as well as electrical and mechanical meter. These units were designed using the client's specified P&ID structure and required materials.
